Summary:
An EHS Risk Assessment Specialist is required for a biopharmaceutical company in East Cork. The successful candidate will co-ordinate project activities to ensure EHS Risk Assessments are reviewed, updated and completed within project deliverables and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate project activities to ensure EHS Risk Assessments are reviewed, updated and completed (where gaps identified) within project deliverables and timelines.
- Act as EHS SME and Reviewer/Approver on new and revised EHS Risk Assessments on site.
- Support in roll out of training on EHS Risk Assessment completion across key departments
- Identify and assess potential environmental, health, and safety risks associated with project activities, processes, and equipment in the pharmaceutical setting.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of various factors on the project.
- Maintain detailed documentation of risk assessments, findings, and recommendations, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded for regulatory purposes.
- Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks, implementing control measures, and enhancing overall safety practices within the project.
- Investigate and analyse any environmental, health, or safety incidents that may occur during the project, and recommend corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring that project teams are adequately prepared to respond to any unforeseen incidents.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and suggesting enhancements as needed.
- Prepare and submit reports on EHS performance, incidents, and risk assessments to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as an EHS advisor, providing expert guidance to project teams on best practices and regulatory requirements related to risk management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Safety/Health or Environmental discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with proven track record in delivering EHS Risk Assessment.
