Summary:
Our client, a pharmaceutical company based in East Cork is seeking an Project Automation Engineer to take responsibility for automation projects including project planning/scoping, scheduling, cost management, prioritization, resources management, status management and external communication. Projects include BMS systems upgrade – hardware & software obsolescence upgrades, process control systems obsolescence, and scoping process & packaging equipment introductions
Responsibilities:
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to scope projects and ensure requirements are satisfied; Managing expectations and communicating project progress and challenges to these stakeholders.
- Project status reporting in site stakeholder governance meetings.
- Manage cross-functional in-house and external project teams.
- Project scheduling & cost control with regular reporting to key client stakeholders.
- Develop project proposals and capital application documentation and present projects to senior leadership at governing bodies for updates and approvals.
- Support the development of annual site capital budgets.
- Manage the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification phases of the project.
- Support and complete site change management activities.
- Manage automation projects portfolio in line with PMO life-cycle and processes.
- Manage project changes and ensure all are captured, documented and assessed.
- Manage projects validation execution.
- Ensure there is a strong safety culture and performance in the execution of projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in a relevant science / engineering discipline.
- 8 to 10 years (minimum) of project management experience across the project life-cycle within a Pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience in technical automation role.
- Experience in working in client-side capital projects execution role.
- Experience in Client Electronic Change Management Systems & full end-to-end project Life-cycle.
- Experience in managing cross functional teams and projects in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of the principles of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Understands the project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation, and project closeout.
