Thrive Committee Activity: Go Karting 2024

Tandem’s Thrive committee organised a night of Go Karting for the second year running.

It was a great, but hotly contested, event with plenty of competitors vying for the top spot.

Congratulations to Xavier Van Ham for coming first and lifting the trophy, well done to Sam Lee and Courtney Welch for coming in second and third, respectively.

Town Hall & Summer Night Out 2024

Tandem held its bi-annual town hall on Friday, 5th July. The town hall offers an opportunity to provide the team with a mid-year analysis of company goals, achievements, client feedback and our community engagement and wellbeing initiatives to date. We also report on environmental initiatives, Tandem’s digital transformation programme and training & development.

Following the town hall, Tandem gathered for a summer celebration, it is always a great opportunity to network, share ideas and connect on a personal level with colleagues.

Advance Graduate Night Out 2024

Some of Tandem’s Advance graduates and undergraduates headed to Il Padrino on Friday evening for dinner and a team catch up.

Tandem is delighted for the graduates approaching one year on the programme, having watched their experience and skills develop over the past year. We will also have some graduations from the two-year Advance Graduate Programme in the coming months. Tandem is delighted to work with young professionals, supporting and guiding them during the early years of their careers.

Advance Graduates Presentations 2023

In July 2023, Tandem held a celebration for its Advance Graduates. Tandem’s Advance Graduate programme aims to give graduates an insight into all aspects of the business in a structured and measured manner, to ensure they obtain broad experience on both a professional and personal level in these crucial initial years of their career.

The celebration was held in Blackrock Castle Observatory, a unique location, apt in that our graduates are ‘reaching for the stars’ in their careers!

The day consisted of presentations from graduates on their professional accomplishments and personal development over this past year. Jason Cullinane, Brian Flahive and Matthew Davidson presented on the experience they have gained and the areas that they have developed in throughout the programme. Presentations lasted 10 minutes after which they took questions from managers and peers.

Advance is a two-year programme and both Brian Flahive and Matthew Davidson were presented with their graduation certificates by Tim Mulhall. We look forward to Matthew’s continued success in Tandem and wish Brian well for his new adventure in Melbourne, Australia.

The graduates, peers and managers then enjoyed a celebratory lunch in the Blackrock Castle café.

World Stroke Day 2022

Last Saturday, 29th of October was World Stroke Day. To raise awareness, Tandem’s Thrive committee invited the Irish Heart Foundation to present at a lunch and learn.  During the presentation we learned that stroke is the third largest cause of death in Ireland.

Many thanks to Aileen Mc Donnell Gillic, for delivering an insightful presentation that focused on how to reduce the risk of stroke, stroke recognition and how to act FAST.

Knowing the signs of stroke and how to act could significantly impact a person’s chances of survival and to what degree they can recover.
